So tell me internet people, how do get someone to reply to your link exchange email?  Where am I going wrong?  I’m looking to exchange footer links with a golf website of the same standing as mine.  I’ve sent 30 or so emails in the last week and only got one reply and that was useless.

In return for footer links on every page, he wanted a banner ad on every page of my site, in his style (which was shit btw) and was then offended when I said no. I said I’d give him the same as I was offering - footer links on every page.

So how do you entice people in? This was my effort…
