This is something that’s been bothering me for some time. Male grooming…Is it ok and if so - to what extent.
Personally, I use face moisturising cream after I’ve had a shave to calm the skin down a bit but that’s about it. These days though, there is a wide range of products for blokes that are available all over the place and loads of my friends and aquaintances now have “beauty regimes”.
One guy I know wears foundation every time he goes out, another shaves his chest and another…..his balls. All use moisturiser.
My dad still uses the good old bar of soap and says any man that uses anything else is a “big jess”. I’m interested to know what people think. So, has society moved on a notch? Is it now ok to use products like this and admit it?? Or does that make you “a big jess”….
My dad is renovating his house at the moment which is great cos it means I have to help him every weekend. It’s a massive job. We’re taking the roof off, building some dormers and then putting the roof back on. Lowering the ceilings on the second floor so it gives us more head height in the loft rooms and tons of other stuff which I’ll keep you up to date with.
So what was the task for this weekend? Well we needed to get into the loft and kick the ceilings down from above so we can put in the new ceiling joists in. A dusty, horrible job that is quite dangerous…so dad says “be careful son, make sure you don’t step on the roof anywhere other than on the joists…” I say “yeah dad no worries….arrrrrrrrgggggghhhhhhhhh” See photo…
Wedged
Luckily, my belly wedged me solidly between the joists and stopped me from falling through and seriously injuring myself. I was so wedged in fact that instead of helping me, my mate Craig had plenty of time to take photos…wanker. Anyway, I am now de-wedged so it’s all good. Roll on next weekend…joy.
I’m doing ok but I’m running out of nicotine gum…damn it!! Apparently, they don’t give you more than you need at the stop smoking clinic thingy as people have been selling them on ebay?!?! Tossers. It just ruins it for people that really need the service.
Anyway, I’m doing ok but I don’t seem to want to go out the same as before? I’m not drinking as much when I do go out which is weird. Probably good for me though eh! Anyway… everyone is still alive and I’ve nearly done two weeks. Wooo! Bring on day 14…

Donald Trump has just been given the go ahead for a multi million pound development in Balmedie, just North of Aberdeen which will bring 6,000 jobs Scotland at a time when it needs them. It will bring tourism money from all over the world and keep Scotland at the top of the tree with regards to the worlds finest courses.

So I was chatting to a mate last night who simply doesn’t see the point of ‘chasing a little ball around a field’ as he put it. I also get comments like - ‘Oh my god, you play golf…in your checked trousers?’
