Ian Poulter has pulled out of the £3.2m Singapore Open after having his driver stolen during last week’s HSBC Champions event in Shanghai. Ahhh, poor Ian…
His sponsors couldn’t get a new club out there quick enough for the start of the competition on 13 November. There mustn’t have been a golf shop in Singapore then. He said “It’s disappointing as I did not come all this way not to play, but with so many world ranking points at stake, if I played badly I may have lost ground.”
