Callaway announces “trade in to trade up” offer in the US

December 2nd, 2008

Callaway has annouced a deal in the US that allows you to trade in your old clubs and use the money you get to buy a nice new set of Callaways.  A great idea that I hope they roll out to the UK.

Apparently you get $10 for an old Big Bertha Iron which is great. You can pick them up for next to nothing on the internet so theoretically you could buy 12 sets of rubbish old ones for $80 each ($960) and trade them in…

So that’s 14 clubs x 12 = 168 clubs.   168 x $10 = $1,680

Sweet, new set of Irons for not much effort.  Ok, in practice in wouldn’t work I know but it’s a nice idea I think.  You can trade in any manufacturer of club including Cobra, Titleist, Taylor Made etc all for varying money.

Come on Callaway, roll it out in the UK. Check out this link for the full trade in values pricelist.
